How We Flap works with and helps NGOs
We Flap helps Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) connect with a wide community of individuals and organizations who are interested in their development work. Through We Flap, NGOs can expand their reach, increase the resources they can bring to bear and spread knowledge about their work to a global community. We Flap facilitates NGO learning by allowing NGOs to build partnerships with other organizations that are working on similar challenges.
To enable better transparency, We Flap provides NGOs with the ability to document their work – update financial accounts, maintain internal and external contact information, make daily updates, publish resources required, and share mission, vision, photos, videos, yearly reports, audits, etc. We Flap will help NGOs that do not have computers or internet access by working with these NGOs in a journalistic capacity to document their work and update their information on their behalf.
"Let‘s democratize philanthropy – make it of the people, by the people, for the people."
Register with We Flap:
- We Flap will work with NGOs to help them register on the web site and create an online presence for themselves in the We Flap community.
- We would like to find out information about the NGO –
- What do you do? What is your mission? What are your goals?
- What areas of the world do you work in? What is it like? What challenges do you face?
- What are your needs? What kind of help are you looking for?
- Tell us your story and provide content that we can use to describe you on We Flap - photos, videos, news coverage, audit reports, partner information, etc. We will help you upload all this information on your own personal We Flap profile site
- We will now automatically make you “friends” with people and other NGOs that are interested in your field of development and you can now begin to interact with them.
Learn:
- Help your friends and other NGOs learn about you by documenting your work, advertising what you do and providing We Flap with regular updates on the progress you are making.
- Use We Flap as a source to learn about other NGOs that work in the same field as you, so that you can expand your reach and increase your knowledge base.
Interact:
- We Flap will provide you with tools to interact with the Users in the We Flap community and other NGOs.
- Support your friends and other NGOs by providing them with feedback on your work and answer the questions they have
- Seek out resources that can assist you and ask questions to users and NGOs that can help you in your work. (If an NGO does not have online access, We Flap will help the NGOs interact with the members of the We Flap community).
- Continually update your information - add photos, videos and other content about the city, village or area of development that you work in, so that others can learn about the context and environment that you work in.
- Solicit skills that you need for projects and post project updates, evaluations, outcomes and audit reports
- Publish jobs and volunteer opportunities
- Build partnerships with other NGOs that are working on similar social challenges as you
Help:
- Help other NGOs that need assistance if you already have the resources they need.
- Help Users and other NGOs on We Flap that are interested in learning about you and working with you, by providing the information they seek.
- Expand the resources you have, and help the people that you are catering to in your community by leveraging the help you get via We Flap.
